He knew it didn't include the roads when he puchased the property. Now he needs to pull a fast one, with harold drunk and our other city officials his tactics will probably work.

Ps: to captain knucklehead: as long as our city "officials" engage in "conduct unbecoming" they can expect a steady stream of criticism from me. Pouring out your drink on a cops shoes is conduct unbecoming a city official!! I won't drop it. The worthless drunk bums need to go!!!!

It is illegal. If they want to sell the roads they must be advertised and go out for public bit.

If for some reason council votes for this stupid road sale/swap/developer welfare proposal - then we will challenge them in court because they did not go through the public bid process.

Great idea!

Nice to see that you still are cruising the blogosphere.

As once before, you make an assertion based upon faulty information. Perhaps a bit more research is in order.

Have a great day!

It will be advertised in the paper (not the Citizen) but who will put up a million for two beat up pieces of road? You might get a hooters beside your new road!

As per city attorney Ted Meeker, “based upon the city s title to the roads at issue and the language of the Glass opinion there is a question in my mind as to whether the property would be sold pursuant to O C G A S 32 7 4 or if the title to the property would vest in the adjacent property owner by operation of law at no charge and without any deed restrictions.”

Call up last nights PTC City Council Meeting minutes and go to page 26 of the PDF.

Even if the city had a clear title, the surrounding land owner(s) has first right of refusal.

Nice thought though.
