Friends of Fayette County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Pruitt are inviting the public to help support him at a fund-raising breakfast Saturday in Woolsey. Pruitt, who was recently diagnosed with a terminal cancer, has served Fayette County for more than two decades in his law enforcement career. The breakfast will be from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Davidson Masonic Lodge at 1957 Ga. Highway 92 South in Woolsey. Donations will be accepted to benefit Pruitt’s family. On the menu are eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, coffee, milk, fruit juice and fellowship. Another benefit for Pruitt is slated for Feb. 16 with a benefit motorcycle ride starting at Big Daddy’s Cycle in south Fayette and ending at the Long Branch restaurant in Fayetteville. Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m. with a $10 cost per bike, and a raffle drawing will be held before the ride begins at 11 a.m. The raffle includes a custom motorcycle paint job, bike detailing, gift certificates and other items. A free breakfast will be provided at the event and donations will also be accepted. login to post comments |
