Joe's Christmas Holiday
It happened some years ago. My Great, Grand Uncle Joe Longtooth, who lives in Transylvania asked that we visit them that year. He and his Witch lived in an old Castle on the fourth floor and the castle had no elevator, or lift as they call it there.
Uncle Joe worked for the local body salvage company in that town there! He took care of the blood waste.
His witch worked at the front desk.
Everybody in town made about the same amount of money no matter what they did. Since they had little refrigeration and no freezers, it was necessary that they food shopped every day on the way home.
Pig meat is very poplar in Transylvania. It is slaughtered every night and sold fresh the next day. Or, at least I thought it was pig meat!
The view from the fourth floor was beautiful however, once you got up there. You really wished you just stay there and not have to climb up again tomorrow.
It seemed a happy place to live. No one had much of anything, so there wasn't much to complain about. Of course, the upper class people had all the wealth, but no one seemed to mind.
Much like the rest of Europe, there is little ambition since every time a country there tries to get ahead, some idiot organizes a bunch of Huns or something and sacks the city!
There isn't much point, is there?
