Fayette County sheriff's detectives have identified a suspect in a shooting that happened at a home at 1210 Old Greenville Road a little after noon today, deputies said.

Although police have not revealed the suspect's name, they are looking for the suspect and following leads in the case, deputies said.

The shooting was preceded by an argument between the shooter and the victim, deputies said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital while police searched for a red Ford F-150 truck with a camper top and a breast cancer tag that was driven away from the scene by the alleged shooter.

The shooting suspect was arrested in Henry County today.

that one person shot another person in our county and was on the run, yet we had no physical description whatsoever? Does that make sense? This person could have walked right by any of us and we would not have had a clue; no name, no physical description. That is not the "norm" with perps on the loose. It seems a bit odd to me.Kevin "Hack" King

It is my understanding that no description of the perp was given because the S.O. already had the necessary information to ID the suspect, therefore help from the community was not needed. This suspect also is apparently a career criminal, so the less he knows about what the S.O. has on him, the better to the public safety. Just my opinion....

To me, this article looks like it was based on whatever the reporter picked up on his police scanner, with little or no further investigation. Especially given that the original article appeared so very soon after the incident happened.

So if there is no description of the perp, I'd guess it is because the reporter didn't ask. Because there was a description available.

If it makes you feel any better, he wasn't have thought to have stayed in our county after the incident.

Is there an update on this story? Was this robbery related or domestic dispute?
If anyone has anymore information please share.

Please re-read the article. It states:
