General Petraeus letter to troops
Can someone who knows what he was trying to say (other than a deserved congratulations to the troops for obeying orders)about what he called "Al Quieda-Iraq?"
It was my impression that the Shiites and the Sunnis were the ones doing the killing! These people are not Al Quieda or, "the camp" in English.
Osama Bin Laden financed the "camps" to train a few terrorists in Afghanistan, not in Iraq. Apparently all of them were not from Iraq, but Saudi Arabia and Africa.
If there is any substantial number of "the camp" people in Iraq, I don't know about it.
Maybe the General has been instructed to say "Al Quieda-Iraq" instead of Shiite terrorists, since he is trying to help form a government of those two sects, plus the Kurds--who are not Arab, but semi-Persians and Turks, mostly?
Be hard for him to say he is killing Shiites under those circumstances!
