Longtime Peachtree City administrative services director Jane Miller died Monday.

Miller, 60, had long fought a bout with ovarian cancer, and she was known to take some chemotherapy treatments via IV while at her desk at City Hall.

In addition to her 24 years of service with the city, Miller was also active in the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club, having once served as its president. She also served on the board of directors of Tara Credit Union.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 3 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Tyler and Rev. Stephen Soulen officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City.

The family asks that any contributions on Miller’s behalf be made to Southwest Christian Care at 7225 Lester Road, Union City, Ga. 30291 or Promise Place at P.O. Box 854, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.

I was saddened to hear the news regarding the passing of Jane Miller. Jane was one of the first people in public service that I got to know back in the early 90’s when I started participating in community service.

Jane was unfailingly pleasant and helpful. It always gladdened the heart to see her. I am certain her family, friends and Peachtree City will miss her. Bless you Jane.

Sincerely,
Peter Pfeifer

You were quite a lady, Miss Jane, and you will be sorely missed in all the lives you touched over the years.
