Anyone else notice?
Corporations, governments, and privately owned companies used to pride themselves
as to the "service" they gave to their livelihood---the customer.
In recent years much of that has disappeared.
Stores, for instance, post hours on the door, usually, which often indicate that they have as many as five different open times out of the seven. Who is going to remember that? Those hours are obviously made for either the owner or the employees!
Also, even if the store is ready to open ten minutes early, or even two minutes, and customers are waiting, they won't open the door a second early and let the customers in.
More recently, professional offices (doctors, dentists, pharmacies, and some government offices) actually close down the entire office and lock the door--up to 1 and 1/2 hours at some. They refuse to take lunch at two different times! Are employees more important to the business than customers? The world can't keep up with such crazy hours, and they do make a lot of unnecessary trips to find the business closed!
I won't even get into the answering computer stuff! I have on many occasions watched an employee NOT answer a phone when NOT busy, in order to answer it when they get ready!
Drive through restaurants have the worst trained employees. They will actually hand you your order while talking to another employee about boys, or girls, and miss your hand entirely. If you decide to not grab the bag as it moves around, they will give you the "look" such as to say: "what is wrong with you." You have to ask for "everything" you want extra to get it--salt, sauce, napkins.
Have you noticed the TV errors on week-ends especially, but also on holidays and nights? Where do they get some of those weirdos?
You can actually tell when the night crew takes over!
It is a miracle we ever get a satellite up any more! Anyone got any foam glue?
