I count myself very fortunate to have known Robert Burch. He will be missed, but his work will live on for generations.

While attending the school named after this man, I didn't realize until 3rd/4th grade that he was a famous author(or a real person for that matter) when he visited our school and gave out free autographed copies of some of his books to a few kids. We could purchase these with our Accelerated Reader points and I'm lucky to say that I got one.

He was one of the nicest people that I know and I offer my deepest condolences to his family. At least he is no longer suffering.

A true treasure for the Nation, the State of Georgia, and indeed Fayette County has passed. His writings and musings will be missed. May he rest in peace.
