Why Black "leadership" becomes more irrelavent every day

Black Caucus Seeks Pardon for Jena 6

If they really wanted to do the Jena 6 criminals a favor, they would demand that they serve their full sentences. But no, they want a full pardon for these thug rap punks.

How many Black Republican leaders are there in Fayette County today? Keep the faith

What difference does it make what color the Republican leaders are? The current leaders were voted in based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

And what does it have to do with the "Black Caucus" wanting pardons for criminals?

Don't blame me, I voted for Herman Cain.

“...the term “democrat” originated as an epithet and referred to ‘one who panders to the crude and mindless whims of the masses.’”

I'm curious, how many Black Democrat leaders are there in Fayette County today?

There is The Honorable Virgil Fludd, Representative from the 66th District, The Honorable Roberta Abdul-Salaam, Representative from the 74th District, Alice Jones of the North Fayette Homeowners Association, Isaac Gobern, Vice-Chair of the Fayette Democrats...just off the top of my head. Keep the faith.

I'm curious, are both Fludd and Abdul-Salaam leaders in the "other" counties they represent or just Fayette? What's the leadership structure of your side? Is it not county based with individuals pushing that agenda? Puzzled

The structure of "our side" is in flux. In the past, being in the vast minority here, the party was somewhat candidate-driven. Both Fludd and Abdul-Salaam are very strong in the state party and well-respected in the legislature. Currently, we are sort of evolving into a party/platform driven party. People are being attracted to leadership positions who are more interested in what the party stands for locally, rather than running for specific offices. We have those who desire to run and have an impact from elective positions, but we also have people who are mainly interested in giving citizens a voice in government/politics through creating alternatives to what the local majority party are doing. Hope that makes sense (still working on merely one cup of coffee). Keep the faith

the 72nd will remain Republican until demographics change. No one wants to align or ally themselves with those representing Fulton or Clayton Counties considering all of the problems that exist there. BTW, don't forget the 77th district with "do nothing for Fayette County" Jordan.
