PTC POLICE CHEIF MURRY

Hi There's picture

I heard second hand (within the system), PEACHTREE CITY POLICE CHEIF MURRY was told to RETIRE OR BE FIRED!! Allegedly Chief Murry became “fresh” with some ladies who we not interested in his advances. Not sure if any charges were filed, I guess not as I feel sure Cal and company would not let that one pass! There must have been complaints filed within the department or to City Council. Talk about front page news! Skyspy, do you know anything?

all of this will be just as it is now, rumors. While no staunch supporter of Chief Murray, I would offer that his accomplishments speak for themselves. We do have a department of stellar individuals who serve us well. Additionally, with the sitting of two new Councilmen the choice of the Chief's successor will be a good one.
Moreover, this is not the time of year (although I can not say when a good time would be) to cast dispersion toward any individual without proof.

I don't know anything about it. Rumors like that have been floating around for years. I figured our top city drunks harold and bernie asked him to go in retaliation for the DUI thing.

Jim Murray was an exceptional public servant and I don't believe that nonsense. This is the same type of scurrilous allegation that plagued former City Councilman Dan Tennant, accused of propositioning the former City Clerk into a broom closet. I don’t believe it. I think Murray quit because with Loggie the Quaffmeister in there having to dole out millions to fix the SNAFU’s and fund the payouts, the PD will be very ill-equipped for the future challenges. Good time to punch out Jim. Enjoy your next experience. We "little people" appreciate you.

Well said Taxpayer!

Chief Murray worked very hard to ensure the safety of PTC and its citizens. He fought for his officers with the city council to ensure that the city could attract and retain the top quality officers that many of us take for granted. He has built a well respected department of professionals who do an exemplary job of public service. To have rumors flying now is just a shame. (Not a slam on you Hi There, it is just a shame about the rumor.)

His retirement is bittersweet. Well done, Chief. Enjoy the retirement you certainly deserve!

To everybody else-Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.
