HUD wants to demolish low income housing units and offer an opportunity for private investment money to rebuild housing that has been vacant since Hurricane Katrina. Wouldn't you know it, some don't want that. Read to see more.

What does the government want them to do? Get a job???

Success is a choice.

They shouldn't be building anything south of lake Ponchatrane (sp ?) anyway, and I definitly shouldn't have to pay for it if they do.

I saw this yesterday. Not surprised, why give up your free ride? Many took advantage of this disaster to start a new life, get a second chance and be a productive member of society. Other, prefer to remain “leeches” of the government welfare system and our tax dollars!

is that many there only know how to "work" the system rather than actually working at a job!!!
