The Peachtree City Council Dec. 6 narrowly approved entering a development agreement with a company for a senior living complex off Rockaway Road.

The city has already rezoned the property for up to 310 units, including 150 apartments, 72 condominiums, a 48-unit assisted living complex, 24 memory care residences and 16 duplex or four-plex villas. The purpose of the agreement is to have the document on file at the courthouse should any discrepancies crop up in the future, officials indicated.

Voting against the agreement were Council members Cyndi Plunkett and Stuart Kourajian.

“I still think it’s too dense down there,” Kourajian said.

“I agree,” Plunkett replied.

The site is 23.5 acres total and will be developed by Dominion Partners Inc. of Alabama, which already has several similar complexes in operation.

Under the zoning approval for the site,no more than 20 percent of the condos can be rental units, with that requirement enforced by covenants for the development. Also the parcel must be restricted to residents ages 55 and older.

You forgot to mention the already approved retail on that parcel. Its sure going to be one busy cornor, not to mention the City dragging it's feet on traffic calming measures promised 6 months ago on Holly Grove.
