Why I Did Not Vote for Mr. Ramsey

I have found some of these comments here to be less than polite. I don’t believe you can say that I have said anything bad about anyone. I happen to like Mr. Brown and what he has done for Seniors and I voted for him. What is so wrong about that? And yet some of you folks have said some unkind things. One person that Other Trax person said to me that “… you have to admit that a Senior, signed on for one day, with her own avatar and hyperlink looked VERY FISHY. At the risk of insulting Seniors, you also have to admit that many Seniors have not exactly embraced the information age. While a good many Seniors are computer savvy, less would be able to include an avatar AND a hyperlink.” First of all, I have been on here for a long time. When my computer broke and before my grandson replaced it I was not here. That is why he signed me back on. I think it was Mr. Muddle who said a search shows that to be true. As for the computer things, yes, I do not know how to do those things. My grandson helped me. But these are my choices. I do not understand why being so harsh is something that you have to do in politics. You boys need to learn some of the manners that my grandchildren display. And another thing, I told them to stop those phone calls and they don't.

Something tells me Steve Brown might just have a chance in this race against the special interest giant. The reason is the Ramsey people are getting more and more nasty with their blogs.

I find it fascinating that no few than eight of most recent blogs that favor Brown say here's the facts you compare while most of the Ramsey blogs rip at Brown's character (and they actually accuse him of being divisive). I thought most of the comparison blog were honest attempts at looking at one candidate next to the other.

The Harman-Haddix and Sturbaum-King races showed a lot of class and the Ramsey people aren't even close.

So far, I have read seniors who thought Brown looked out for them and homeowners association leaders who said Brown help them whenever they needed it. You don't hear that for Ramsey. In fact, what you do hear is, Who is Matt Ramsey?

Maybe the people are waking up and won't listen to the mud slinging from the Ramsey people.

I like Steve Brown, he listens.

I can't believe they had the gall to put signs all over the Fayetteville First Unitied Methodist Church properties. Several of the deacons are steaming mad.

First off, my apologies to Mrs. Sheldon

I agree that Mr. Ramsey's placement of political campaign signs on the property of a house of worship is nothing less than desecration. It reflects this impulse of "win at all costs". It is reflected in a State House campaign that would spend $50,000.

The Church Deacons will remain silent though. The politicians and business leaders will dissuade them from holding these people accountable. Being politically correct is more important.

The Bible at Acts 17:11 commands us to "Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt." I think that Bill Bennett in his book "The Death of Shame" is right that the loss accountability in America is tragic.

Mr. Ramsey and his operatives may well win this campaign but in the end, what have they really won ?

I hope someone got pictures.

If the church allowed the signs to remain, then they have granted endorsement of a political candidate.

That, ladies and gentleman, is a clear violation of the law.

I would urge the State Attorney General to investigate the matter and make a formal ruling.

The church could loose its "tax free" status if they took no corrective action.

But it's a little late for corrective action. The polls closed 5 minutes ago.
