Peachtree City has been a diamond in the rough for many years. Hold on to your houses, people! There's no place for them to go but up despite Delta, Ford, the military or any other business!

This area, especially PTC, will continue to thrive because it's the best place in greater Atlanta to live and raise families. The Delta troubles haven't and won't slow the booming real estate market and development pressure. And Atlanta will continue to thrive - the cost of doing business is less than the rest of the country on average, companies will continue to expand here, people will continue to want to live here. The local economy will continue to grow at a higher rate than most of the US. Let's be sure we properly manage the growth and keep Fayette a great place to live.

Delta will never be what it once was, but the only effect this will have on PTC's economy is fewer ladies buying overpriced and uneeded items at the Avenue and a glut of $600,000 houses on the market - which will sell for about $450,000 which is their actual value. Ex-Delta people will go to work for another airline such as Southwest or Jet Blue who will fly people directly to their destination for less than Delta charged. Sure the worker's pay will be less, but it will be fair and sufficient for them to keep living a normal lifestyle in PTC.
