My heart and prayers go out to the Harrison family in this most difficult time.

I hope that you can actually feel the love of a community of people you have not even met in person, as we hold you all in prayer. May the memories given to you by this gift from God named Blake, bring a smile to your faces as you mourn the loss. know that you will see him again, and when you do, Blake will be just as happy to see you as you are to see him.

God Bless,

Kevin "Hack" King

I really admire the people living in Rebecca Lakes Subdivision. They have rallied around this family like a community should. Between organizing the reception to meals for the family and accommodations for out of town guests they have really stepped up. It's so tragic what happened to Blake and to the entire Harrison family, but it's wonderful to know that there is a whole community wrapping their arms around them.

God bless all of them!

I went to the web site and I was amazed. God has blessed this family with great neighbors and friends.

There are no words of sympathy that are adequate for this kind of tragedy. I can't even imagine what they are going through.

Our prayers need to go out to Blake's family. I can only imagine how devastated they must be at this point. Blake's loss has even impacted my children as they know his sister well and also new Blake.

All the kids at Sara Harp Minter are honoring Blake today by wearing his favorite color green.

God Bless... This is going to be a tough Christmas for the Harrisons.

Looking at Blake's photos on the memorial site made me think of my grandkids and how much I cherish them.

When I was a young parent and anxious for the welfare of my kids, I naively thought that the anxiety would be relaxed once they became adults and were on their own. Ha! I worry about them as much today as I did then. There is no time when the loss of a child is a thing to have to bear.

But age 5--right at the center of the ages of my six grandkids--is such a delightful age. Unless they are simply numb from shock, the pain must be immense.

I infer from the little that is said on the website that there was an accident. Is this correct?

God have mercy.

Do you know how Blake passed away? This is so tragic! I just can't imagine the pain this family is going through. I am so sorry and it's hard to hold back the tears.

There have been multiple reasons mentioned. It's best to wait until after the autopsy at this point. Mrs. Git is pretty close to the situation. When I hear something credible / final I'll let you know.

Otherwise someone else may know more at this point.

Hi Git,
We have friends that are members of New Hope and they said they got a email that stated that in the morning when they went in to wake him up he wasn't alive.

This is just the informtion they got, hope the source is correct, is that they did a autopsy and his airway was clear.

While writing this and tears flowing, my heart is broken for this family - May they find some comfort knowing he is safe and with Jesus.
They need our love, prayers, and care.

I will contact the church to see how I can send a card to the family just to try and show I care.

To all of us that have kids, we can't even begin to know what this is like, but we can know what it is to love your child more than our life.

My prayer is God please give them comfort, peace and surround them with people to show His love.

If you find out more Git please let us know. New Hope is a Huge church and even though my friends have some little ones, I am not sure if they even knew them - they have two services and one at the South location.
