Brown picks up support from Sturbaum

I was told that newly elected Doug Sturbaum is also backing Steve Brown for the House District 72. He's picking up a lot of the newly elected local officials because the people are just plain sick of government neglect.

However, I thought David Lakly's (Dan Lakly's son) support was the biggest one of all.

There is no reason that Mr. Brown can't also run for Mayor Of PTC next time and still keep his Atlanta elected position!
Most of those lawyers up there still keep their practice or are animal vets or something.
He could even be Lt. Governor and a PTC councilman!
We can't let him get away this time.
Keep the professional moneymakers out!

This is Steve Brown's last chance I believe. I will vote for him. Matt Ramsey is a vacuous, young automaton who is doing nothing more than automated phone calls and slick empty mail pieces. Education: Give them more resources; Crime: give local law enforcement more resources. Transportation: we need more resources. Budget: Houdini says despite 1-3 resource increases, he will cut the budget. He is an empty suit.

Brown, however populist, has one last chance. This time he must make nice with the other legislators. He should use other officials or mutual friends to bridge the gap. These people will be targeting him anyway and so it will be a matter of how big a target he gives them.

Don Haddix and Doug Sturbaum each come in with a clean slate. The thought that Haddix, Sturbaum and Brown might communicate well and work together might be a very good result for PTC's future. It will not be easy. The moneyed interests will persist. But now that the developer crowd has suffered two crushing defeats with Harmon and King, a win by Brown will have substantial impact but ONLY IF he develops a new "methodology" as one candidate so aptly commented.

For sure, Steve Brown, the best representative of the average families Fayette County ever had, does let it rip when he sees the special interests taking advantage. I'll agree he must take the offenders to task in a more methodical way.

Everyone agrees he was right about the development authority scandals, TDK and the police station. Even Matt Ramsey's boss Doug Warner had to admit guilt in the development authority mess that we the taxpayers are now paying thanks to another Ramsey supporter, Harold Logsdon.

I say Matt Ramsey is worse than an empty suit. He's a blatant tool of a crooked bunch wishing to do us harm so they can profit.

Steve Brown is far more intelligent than the bunch who opposes him. The developer thugs are so concerned about their own self-interest they couldn't see the big picture if it hit them in the face.

Some say what Steve Brown lacks in polite talk to special interests, he more than makes up for in political courage. After all, you can buy politicans a dime a dozen. All of Matt Ramsey's supporters (Mitch Seabaugh, Doug Warner, Bob Lenox, Fred Brown, Joel Cowan, etc.) worship the almighty dollar. It's ok for heads to roll as long as they profit. Steve Brown has proven he can't be bought and he can't be intimidated. He really scares the pants off of the developer boys.

I think he will excel at the state level because their won't be a bunch of local cry babies shooting at him all the time. Steve would only be 1 of over 100, so the greedy people will not be so focused on him because he won't go along.
