Heatpump question

smartypants's picture

My old heatpump has bit the dust and needs to be replaced. Can I replace it with an AC/Furnace or do I have have to replace it with another heat pump?? Any help is appreciated.

If you have gas you can replace it with a gas furnace but will more then likely need to use a 90% plus furnace to vent it properly. If you don't have gas I would suggest going back with another heat pump, they are more efficient now then just 2 years ago so you can't really go wrong. You would be better off staying electric due to the high conversion costs of going to gas.

Thanks Hutch.

I support our troops and pray for their safe return when the mission is done.
