One burglary suspect is dead and two others were injured early Tuesday afternoon when their vehicle struck a power pole on Bethsaida Road.

The driver, age 18, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Fulton County Public Affairs Manager Jessica Corbitt. Two other suspects, both teenagers, were taken to Atlanta Medical Center, one by life flight and one by ambulance, Corbitt said.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m., when Fulton Police received a call reporting a burglary at a residence located near Bethsaida Road and West Road.

The suspects' car was identified by a Fulton County Police crime suppression vehicle that was in the subdivision at the time of the incident, according to Corbitt.

Officers turned around to follow the vehicle and found it crashed into the power pole, she said.

The suspects’ names have not been released pending notification of the families.
