Heidi Becker (R): Keep tax dollars in Fayette, fight for slow growth, water

By: Letters to the ...

I am writing you this personal letter to introduce myself and ask you for your vote.

Service is a part of my life. As one of five children of a single mom, I learned the value of hard work at an early age. In order to help the family make ends meet it became necessary to work after school and weekends. I have continued that hard-work ethic into my adult life.

Following high school, while attending college at night, I worked full time for the state Department of Labor, and later the Secretary of State. Even though I was very busy with school and work, I still found time to serve my community by volunteering at the School For The Blind, visiting elderly patients at the local hospital, and becoming a big sister to a little girl named Erin in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. I also served meals at our local homeless shelter.

After taking time out to be a stay-at-home mom, I turned my love for community into a successful public relations business here in Fayette County. My firm specializes in community development for organizations which care for abandoned and abused children, seniors and domestic violence victims.

As a mom, the future of Fayette County is very important to me. I have two children in our public schools and feel strongly that our tax dollars should stay here in Fayette County.

My goal as your state representative is to continue the fight for slow growth while working to keep our county a safe place to raise our children. Working with state officials to find immediate solutions for our water and traffic problems will also be a priority.

With my record of service, my proven ability to accomplish good things in Fayette County, and my conservative values, I hope that you will feel that I am the most qualified candidate to represent you and that you will vote for me on Dec. 18. Call me with any questions at 770-846-8659. I would love to talk to you.

Heidi Becker, Candidate

State House of Representatives, District 72

Fayetteville, Ga.

Now if that doesn't sound like a flaming liberal nothing does. Tell us all about Arkansas and the university and your classes. What about Utah... exactly what were you doing there. I've seen the ads, the letters, the signs, and your self promotions in the Citizen and Fayette Woman magazine. We call that publicity hound. Face in the paper without substance. Who is behind you Heidy? Who's the guy putting up your signs? Don't think it is your husband? Biggest question is why can't you be honest and feel you need to stretch the truth and try to make people you had great jobs in government when you were not much more than a goffer and intro aide. Fayette does not need a flaming liberal from Arkansas in office. Are you taking lessons from Hillary?

Heidi isn't a factor and she's a waste of a vote. This race is between the developer's candidate Lawyer Logsdon Ramsey and the only candidate, in the hunt, with a trusted agenda. That would be Steve Brown.

Please consider re-directing your focus over to either the developer's boy or the taxpayer's advocate.

Respectfully,

Git
