Tiger Fans - unite tonight

Sure, it's going to be bone-crushing cold tonight for the FCHS Tigers football game, but it would be great to have the stands full. After you're finished shopping, eating Turkey Day left-overs and watching television, come out for what should another excellent play-off game.

It was wonderful to see the city of Tyrone honor the Sandy Creek Patriots by lining the street of the school - sure wish Fayetteville would do something along those lines for the Tigers. Better yet would be to invite the whole Tiger team to be a part of a local Christmas parade - does Fayetteville have those anymore?

I feel those boys really need to know how much their community is proud of them. I wonder if any local businesses will step up and sponsor them with specialty tee shirts for "Region Champs," "Sweet Sixteen," or after a win tonight they would qualify for an "Elite Eight" tee shirt?

Hope to see you at the game tonight, and if you prefer to support WHS or SCHS in their playoff berths, please show up in their stands tonight to cheer them on, too. Remember, the more bodies in the stands, the warmer it will be for those of us watching! Smiling

Best Wishes to all our teams tonight! While we bundle up and cheer on our Tigers, most of us will be cheering long distance for Sandy Creek and Whitewater. All of these boys have worked hard all season and deserve to be recognized as the winners that they are,on and off the field. What a way to spend Thanksgiving, good food, family and great high school football! I don't know about the rest of you, but the NFL doesn't excite me near as much as a Friday night game somewhere here in Fayette County. Although tonight at $10.00 a head, the price is really a little steep. But in the end it will be worth it when the TIGERS win!Stay warm and cheer on your favorite team.

You can count on a full house. There's nothing like a freezing Friday night highschool game. Coffee sales will be brisk.

Excellent points made here, couldn't agree more!

It's going to be another exciting game in the heart of Fayetteville - can't wait for the first kick-off tonight!

I'll try to be a little more accurate this week, as I was a combined 9 points off last week on the Tigers game.

FCHS 35 - Bainbridge 17

Whitewater 14 - Thomas Co. Central 24 I hope I'm wrong here.

SCHS 21 - N. Hall 20

To all the teams playing tonight, win or lose, you've already made us proud, so just make us prouder. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
.............GO TIGERS............

When the Tigers come up against Tucker next week, how do they pick the home team? Coin toss?

According to the GHSA constitution - yes, it will come down to a coin toss.

Would love to know the answer to that question, too. Have been told it's a coin toss, but hopefully Mikey B. can tell us for sure.

I've got to send Lil' Chip with gloves to the game tonight, the Pit doesn't get any issued to them for performances, so his hands "froze" last week! In fact, all of us are going to have some of those heated inserts in our gloves tonight.

See you there, stay warm!

The hutchette had the gloves, but with the fingers cut out, so not a whole lot of help there.

I'll try to get them to you through our mutual friend, R., who brings the Tigers good luck by sitting in her wheelchair with her foot propped up.
