Amphitheater and Tennis Center

The ongoing argument about poor talent in general at the amphitheater may be due to a good reason!
As many of you know, the amphitheater has in the past subsidized the Tennis Center which loses money.
Now 30-35 dollar tickets times two shows can bring in a gross of easily $135,000.
I can only assume that sponsors help pay for the expenses of the amphitheater. However if they don't, then lets say there is $100,000 available to hire a talent for two or three total hours of effort.
Am I to understand that we pay Frampton (whoever he is) that much?
Is Tony Orlando that well paid?
Did Glenn Campbell get that much?
Or, Or, are we still subsidizing something?
Are there any books to view about these moneys? Are they ever published?

I have seen the report you mentioned for the Tourism Association. We need to know how the Amphitheater does, and how the Tennis Center does! This report totally combines all numbers to make it impossible to know the separate numbers!

The revenues for 2006 were: $2,124,501 (for both)

The salaries (for both) 933,000
The entertainment for one 711,000
Production costs (?) 166,000
Marketing (?) 143,000
Supplies (both) 81,000
Other (?) 258,000
Few other misc. (?)
Loss indicated by audit $386,275

I don't see anything to indicate how each is doing! Are they combined for a purpose? What is the purpose?
Should we not have better entertainment if the Amphitheater can afford it? Rather than support a few playing tennis?

I don't think the numbers are that high on an average gross income at the amphitheather. Even if they were, you have other expenses than just paying the talent.

But yes, I do believe the numbers are out there. The last ones I saw showed the Amphitheater showing a net profit, more than enough to offset the loss at the Tennis Center.

Whether you choose to believe it or not, both of these venues are assets to Peachtree City. I rarely use one, and enjoy the Amphitheater very much. These venues are some of the very reasons PTC is unique in it's lifestyle.
