It is better to keep “good times” activities to those that are legal. But that was not the case Nov. 3 at Chaps in Tyrone when two men were arrested on drug possession charges.

Benjamin Grant, 25, of Fayetteville was charged with possession of cocaine and Brian Haynie, 30, of Tyrone, was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, according to Tyrone Police spokesperson Alicia Batts.

The incident occurred when an off-duty Fayette Sheriff’s officer entered the restroom where Grant and Haynie were located and was asked if he wanted some of the white powder contained inside a small bag.

The officer left the restroom and contacted Tyrone Police. Tyrone officers responded to the location and were met by the off-duty officer who was escorting Grant and Haynie.

A subsequent search of the two men revealed that Grant had a small bag containing suspected cocaine in his wallet and Haynie had a small amount of suspected marijuana in his pocket, reports said. Both men were arrested at the scene.

Thats not surprising to hear. It is a middle school in Fairburn, GA that has 7th graders bringing marijuana to school. Boy oh boy is our society messed up. They need to put sniffing dogs in these schools. These children are having sex on the school property you name it. These staff members and principles need to be aware of the gym areas and outside by the portables.Parents check your children rooms and read letters that they have laying around.
