On Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at approximately 9 a.m. I was involved in an accident at the intersection of Ga. Highway 74 South and Paschall Road.

I was on a motorcycle and someone traveling on Hwy. 74 turned left onto Paschall Road directly in front of me. I had to drop my bike to avoid hitting the truck.

In the process I was knocked unconscious and did not come to until the paramedics were working on me. By the graces of God my only injuries were a concussion, some road rash, and a lot of bruising. No broken bones.

I am writing to you for two reasons:

1. Too many times I have read comments in the paper of people complaining about the police, firefighters, and paramedics in Peachtree City. I received the very best care from our public servants. They were professional, courteous, and truly concerned about taking the best care of me that they could. I would like to thank all of them very much for the care they gave me. It was above and beyond what I would have expected after reading some of the posts in the free speech section of this paper.

2. My head injuries would have been much worse if I did not have my helmet on. All of my biker buddies, please keep those helmets on when you ride.

The bike is totaled but I am already looking for a new one.

I was in a near fatal car accident when I was 13. It happened right next to the Mormon church near Ruby Tuesday's. A car going app. 40 mph hit my friend and I in our golfcart. My 80 lb body was ejected from the golfcart and I landed under a school bus. The paramedics were more helpful than the emergency room doctors.
