Consider Michael Harman on Tuesday

CCB's picture

I'm sick of reading Johenry and the others who continually put COUNCILMAN Harman down. He is a councilman and he does deserve the respect of the office.

Johenry thinks that because Councilman Harman won't say whether or not he'll vote for the Kohls or answer if he really made a deal with Coweta County for sewer in the past that we shouldn't vote for him.

Cal Beverly was very unfair to Councilman Harman. Give him a break! He can't be everything to everybody. It wouldn't be right for him to elaborate on how he would vote on future issues because he wouldn't know all of the details leading up to the vote until they actually had a vote.

Michael Harman is the only candidate out waving to the public. That should tell you he's willing to go out of his way to make things happen.

I don't care if Harman was waving thousand dollar bills at me from the side of the highway, I would never vote for the guy!

Since harold and company hand picked him I know he can't be good for the average citizen here.

Tipping his hand to mcBULLY was an underhanded ploy to keep the ugly cheap big box on the table.

Thanks for showing us your true colors ahead of time harman!

Harmon should be fired - instead of voting on the Kohl's matter which would have tabled it for 6 months, he compelled the developer to withdraw the proposal, presumably for resubmission after the election. We will not tolerate underhanded behavior - councilmembers will vote with conviction or be booted.

johenry is 100% correct (about this issue). If he can't or won't answer those simple questions - he is not worthy of a vote. Everyone else has answered them one way or another and even if they have the wrong answere - at least they are honest. Harman is not being open and honest from the start.

The fact that he is a councilmember makes it even more troubling. He was appointed - not elected and appointed by a council that has 2 supporters of the idiotic Kohl's land swap, big box exemption, sweetheart deal for the city's worst developer. One needs to consider all that before voting.

O'Toole has none of that baggage and he's getting my vote.

After trying 6 times to get an answer, Councilman Harman still won't answer these questions before election

The fact the councilman refuses to answer these questions for anyone should tell you not to vote for him.

I posted the following questions below the Councilman's letter (http://www.thecitizen.com/~citizen0/node/21133) to the editor and he wouldn't respond ...

Mr. Harman,

1. What will your vote be on the Kohl's big box if it comes before the city council for approval?

2. Did you really try to make a deal to deliver PTC sewer to Coweta County without the city council's permission?

3. Which officials specifically have you met with "from other municipalities and the county on issues that affect us regionally," what issues did you discuss, and what was the outcome?

4. What would you do to make the city more safe?
