This fellow, John Linder

Who I thought was a Libertarian, at any rate is a republican, is proposing in today's newspaper for the Federal government to resolve Georgia's water problem!
Now that simply means to provide the money to build more dams, etc., so that Georgia doesn't have to provide it. Of course Michigan doesn't want anything to do with helping Georgia build dams since they have more water in the Great Lakes than Georgia is big!
I don't want to use the word hypocrite, but nothing will change for those people who fight for independence from Washington until they stop asking for it.
He is also a dude who wants about a 30% sales tax to eliminate payroll deductions while more and more people here don't even have payroll deductions.
Of course a 30% sales tax would destroy half of our retired seniors!
Georgia wants to stop taxing million plus dollar homes as personal property so that all the little homeowner guys can pay 12% sales tax (state) to help them out!
If both were to occur, then our first half of our earnings for people up to $100,000 would support the ones who make more than that! A wonderful idea.
No wonder we are polarized and nearly ruined as an operating country. At what point is it that we simply can not borrow any more from China and then we default?

Well, Evander would have a bonanza added to his income for not having to pay taxes on his castle, but you should see how he eats!

Oh, and I should mention that the removal of the tax each year on homes would NOT include the bonds voted for schools, libraries, airports, authorities, water systems, transportation, and anything else the developers could put up for vote!!
It is another republican "hidden tax" on top of what we already pay. It would also perpetuate the constant and perpetual growth of tax paid employees.
After all we have to have some kind of jobs, don't we? Since there is no "normal" work anymore (making things to sell) we have to shuffle papers and sell stuff, and con the masses!
