Rehwaldt, Rehwaldt, He's our Man -

Rehwaldt, Rehwaldt, Rehwaldt - you are the best person for the job of Mayor and you have my vote - as far as the rest of them DA'es - I am voting AGAINST DIAL for SURE!! I like Jesse Nas a little more than I used to. He is a pretty nice guy, straight forward and cool!! I also like Shenkle - But for sure, no votes for Smola or Dial.

If you repeat something enough do you think it will come true? What is true is that the ethical government candidate violated at least one regulation (he printed coupons but did not state on the coupon who paid for them); tried to excuse it by pleading ignorance while asking people to vote for him because he is an experienced manager/leader; and then tried to shift the blame to his campaign manager and town management. Give me a break

Just use the coupons when you ran out of toilet paper. And share it with Doodudley.

who you are!! Hey. How are you doing?

LOL - laughed so hard had to come back read it again and again Thanks Valerie - everyone said you were so mean and spiteful but you have a great sense of humor. Maybe Barry could use some coupons to help start his sewer memorial and he could name it after Dial & Smoal - Barry Amos' DialSmoal Sewer Memorial.

Clever you are master!!

"Candidates who should — and who shouldn’t — be elected

My recommendations are:

Don Rehwaldt, Tyrone mayor

Tracy Young, Tyrone Council Post 1

Gordon Shenkle, Tyrone Council Post 2

AGAINST Mike Smola, Tyrone mayor — What a huge mistake that he ever got elected. Correct this mistake, please.

In Tyrone, it’s much the same as well, though a sizable number of citizens there have risen up against the arrogant paternalism of the council majority — a smug attitude best exemplified by current Councilman and mayoral candidate Mike Smola — and is likely to sweep a more representative slate into office."

his wife is a jerk. The woman has an ego the size of Rhode Island. Parents are getting fed up with her attitude on the Board of Education. Who is going to run against her, so I will know who to sent a campaign check to in the mail?

I have heard that Mrs. Smola is a mean person, vindictive and controlling. Believe me, Mr. Smola is the same if not worse. Anyone who would team up with this couple is either sick or desperate. Eric Dial, I am talking to you!

Submitted by Tyrone90210 on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 9:28pm.

A teacher at a Fayette County school approached me about signing a petition, we the citizens have gotten together to remove Tyrone's town management. She really agreed with me and wanted to sign it and said that she did not like Mr. Mike Smola either. But she said she could not "risk her job" because of Janet Smola. This poor teacher feels so threatened by the Smolas & she fears retaliation from Mrs. Smola and therefore felt too afraid to exercise her freedom of speech and association. Can you believe that? I couldn't until I saw it for myself. Very, very sad.

What kind of havoc has Mrs. Janet Smola been creating near you?

I think a lot at the schools feel it, some it has been laid out to clearer than others that they better watch their step! Both Smolas, I give you notice...you better watch your step! Time for everyone to not have to look over their shoulders for some back room wanta be s if could be s is over. Don't try to intimidate, insinuate, or delude yourself or others that you have any power! I am really gonna gloat at how stupid you both look come Tuesday night. By the way...I have always felt that people on the school board should be beyond reproach...you know what I mean? I bet Mr Smola does!

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 8:27pm.

will do something. It's their fault for sitting back. Her attitude is well known and shouldn't be tolerated. Handle her as you would most New Yorkers with bad manners...get back in her face! That is all she will understand. Hate to say it, but its tried and true.

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 8:07pm.

she has never been ..REALLY ELECTED! It seems that no one else bothered to run and so she got it. It is sad because the children have not been represented as they should. Her mouth is well known as well as the fact she never shuts it! Other than Marion Key, I think the others have developer ties, that is one reason all the schools are built in the middle of no where. However there is another reason as well. How can you find land to buy in Peachtree city for a school? The extra developement has displaced so many children. The old commisioners tried to keep a lid on the growth, but it is almost as out of hand as Tyrone's was in 2005. I feel your pain.

Are you a lawyer? Can you say federal lawsuit? A person cant be fired just because you dont like them. You will be on the boat out of town too because you wont be able to afford to live here. Ive lived in town to long to be run out of town because of federal lawsuits.

TO SPOT: You should check the law on that again!

Submitted by Spot on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 7:03pm.

YOU might want to check the law again. Even at will employees are protected by the 5th and 14th amendments. This protects against firing of employees by reasons other than poor job performance (see www.lectlaw.com/files/emp08.htm.) I want to live my life out in Tyrone and there will be federal lawsuits if employees are fired for no reason at all.

Submitted by Valerie on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 10:59pm.

Barry is not a federal employee, he is a municipal employee. 5th Amendment Rights protect property rights. The 14th Amendment is equal protection. There are no fundamental constitutional right for an employee who acts outside of his duties like Barry. Barry is being sued over fraudulent misrepresentation which is not a part of his duties. The Town Charter states that the Town Manager serves at the pleasure of the Council. You need to read the law jackass. There is no constitutional right to work for the Town of Tyrone. If that was true Tammie Brock would be suing over Barry firing her. You idiot.

Submitted by Tyrone Aries on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 11:39pm.

Valerie is the smartest person in the world!! And, Valerie is correct. To further the point, I must add that there is not even a 14th amendment right to a job of any kind. Guess Barry's Sewer Business will have to institute some rational, lawful standards and procedures & then comply with them to avoid doing what he did while employed by the town of Tyrone as their town manager. At-will employee.

Furthermore, Georgians voted for an Amendment to our Constitution at the last election to make our Constitution's 5th amendment Protection of Private Property even greater by expressly stating that private property (the property you & I own) may not be taken by the government for private development.

EXAMPLE: You own your property. You have good, legal title to your land that protects you against any claims of others to take away or regulate what you do on it.

The government wants your land. So much so, that the drafters of the Bill of Rights, way back then, knew that the government wants to control all the land and everything, if you let it. So there are protections (limits against the government and equal protection of the citizen), protections built into the Constitution by way of the Bill of Rights.

So there is a clause in the 5th Amendment of the Bill of Rights that states "the government cannot take your property for any reason except as for the narrowly defined reason "for public welfare, safety, morality." If the government meets this requirement, it may file an eminent domain takings claims against you and take your property. But they have to pay you market value for your property as well. So we give the government a little power but retain our status quo by way of the exchange property for cash value.

Therefore, government regulation of what you do on your property, that are not specifically for the public welfare, safety or morality, are unlawful. AGAINST THE LAW!

Valerie - whoever you are, you're great!

Submitted by Tyrone90210 on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 7:41pm.

Rest easy, you won't have a case because you have violated citizens and taxpayers rights while you have allegedly "done your job." Plus how is the ACLU going to want your case after they have been forwarded all the information about Trickum Creek Cemetery. The NAACP has also been forwarded all the info.

How are you going to afford a lawyer?

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 8:21pm.

they would have to explain how they signed off on those 2 plats and never let them go through the proper groups that would have caught the cemetery, the power line, and the undersized width of the lots. That is one of so many things they could hang them out to dry for.

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 7:12pm.

cushy job forever. Well I would say that there is more than ample proof you have not done your job well at all. Why do you think all these people are signing the petition? We have numerous examples. I think they are just saying that for the first time you will be evaluted fairly, not by people who are swilling the Mayor's salery. Not by arrogant morons, but by people who will evaluate you as they would anyone else. Fairly, and I think you will come up lacking!

If we have pending lawsuits now if we start firing employees that are doing their jobs we will have serious lawsuits. We as citizens need to be concerned about this statement if this is what is going to happen if certain folks are elected. How much will this cost us? We will all have to move out of our small town because we wont be able to afford to live here.

Submitted by Boo on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 6:58pm.

Only those two who are not doing their job well be removed. That’s Valerie & Barry. We’ll have more lawsuits if we don’t remove them. Besides these employees do not have contracts and the Council appoints or removes officials every January. If Fayetteville can remove their City Attorney as they did this year, we can certainly hire who we want. There is over 400 signatures on a petition to remove these two. Barry was remove from Peachtree City. That’s how we stupidly got stuck with him.

Their entire philosphy is to squeeze the trigger, then ask questions. They don't think ahead because they can't think ahead. This is a common approach for most ignorant idiots. They have no vision. They do not realize every decision has a consequence. This is clearly the voice and attitude of the alliance group. Face it..they are afraid beyond belief their guys are going down in defeat. This is obvious by all of the negativity and mud slinging for the past two weeks. They would be stunned if they were just smart enough to realize how many votes they have sent across to the other side. Why...the power of association. Voters think Don and Gordon are clones of these "speakers/bloggers of truth" and the voters are turning away to the other candidates.

Here I am revealing the other side's strategy..and you be the witness, the idiots will continue on sending more and more voters over. Just watch!

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 7:04pm.

Until you mentioned the Tyrone alliance as you did, [their out to get us!] I wasn't sure. I now know one of the candidates...is...blogging.

You are sad!

Submitted by Tyrone90210 on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 6:23pm.

As I have stated many times - I am not part of the "alliance" group - I guess you mean TNA....whatever.

The worst mudslinging has come from you all's camp Amos/Smola/Dial. You tried to trash Rehwaldt, but it all blew up in your face. I am telling you, the town citizens are sick of being treated like a funding source for whatever Barry wants. If just once you had taken a citizens concern seriously then you might not be grabbing pathetically for straws this late in the game.

"Let them sue, we have insurance." -Amos

Submitted by Tyrone90210 on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 6:08pm.

Once Barry Amos and Mike Smola and Valerie Fowler are gone, there won't be anymore lawsuits filed and G&G and Rehwaldt and Tracy Young and Gordon Shenkle will work with citizens who have problems and not force them to file lawsuits against the town. All of the lawsuits could have been avoided but for Smola & Amos!!

Submitted by Tyrone90210 on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 6:11pm.

Oh yeah - I forgot to mention that Barry Amos and Valerie Fowler have acted outside the scope of their duties as assigned by town council.....this will preclude them filing a lawsuit - you cannot go to the court for protection if you have acted with the malice, hatred and dismissivenss to the citizens like B&V have!!

Submitted by BaseballFan on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 6:24pm.

Are you confused or what? At least B and V can spell Tyrone.
