The teen years are the hardest we have to go through. I am glad my younger years are over, there is so much poision these kids have to listen to daily on TV, with friends and just about anywhere. Yes, some counseling is due here, but not jail time. If this young lady is in pain, then let's get her help.

It depends upon whose ox is being gored!
If it is Osama's ox, hang the ox; if it is Bush's ox--save it.

Let's not forget that we are talking about children. If we start arresting them every time they say or do something profoundly stupid, the FC jail will be full by Friday afternoon.

Hyper-reactionary behavior is precisely what causes this kind of crap:

I agree 100%. These kids needed counseling to access why they were seeking attention, not handcuffs.

... from some TOUGHER parents???? More and more malls are putting teenagers off limits during certain times of the week due to inept parenting. If the parents are either incapable or incompetent at parenting skills, then it will ultimately fall to the state to provide 'state sponsored' discipline -- case in point, Andy Reid's (Eagle's coach) two boys!! The state might have intervened at the right time for the sake of the two girls!!
