PTC Fire Department saved the night for family

On Oct. 25, I had a situation that was resolved with an act of kindness by our wonderful Peachtree City Fire Department.

I am a realtor with REMAX Around Atlanta Results and had sold a home to a family that consists of a great-grandmother, a grandmother, daughter and two small children.

They could not get their pilot light turned on and it was getting very cold in the house. We called the gas company, a plumber, the home warranty company, a home inspector ,all to no avail.

At 10 till 6 as the sun was starting to go down and not knowing who else to could call, I decided to try the fire department.

I spoke with Captain Ron Mundy, explained my dilemma, and he said he would take care of it. Within 30 minutes the family had their heat on and could enjoy the warmth of their home that evening.

Thank you, Captain Mundy and Station 82. You are all greatly appreciated and we thank you.

As the letter indicates it is often that when people don't know where to turn to they call the Fire Department. We are very thankful for the Men and Women who serve our City each and everyday. These dedicated professionals are ready 24 hours of each day and respond with true compassion and courtesy to the needs or our citizens.
