Drug-resistant Staph at a Fayette County School?

I was just reading an article on ajc.com on drug-resistant staph infections in metro-area schools, and the article mentioned that there had been a case in a Fayette County school. Has anyone heard what school that might have been?

I can't answer your specific question, but you can bet that there is MRSA in every school - not necessarily people with infections, but the germ itself is there. It is on many people who never get an infection, on doorknobs, on equipment, etc. etc.

I hope all the schools are stressing hand washing over and over to all the students and staff - that and not sharing towels and equipment may prevent a school from ever having a MRSA infection.
