Fayetteville City Council agreed to table a request by Oddo Brothers on a proposal to development a 58-acre, 101-home subdivision at the northwest corner of Ramah Road and Beauregard Boulevard. Project representative Tom Hardy said the move would allow time to look at other options and possibly revise the application.

Hardy at previous meetings of the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission had requested the R-30-zoned property be rezoned to R-22 PUD (Planned Unit Development), thereby providing a way to build 101 homes instead of the 84 under R-30. Hardy asked Oct. 18 that the proposal be tabled to give the applicant more time to look at development options and to potentially revise the development application. The council agreed, with the decision paving the way for the proposal to return to Planning and Zoning.

The rezoning request was denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission Sept. 25. Commissioners said they were impressed with the project but voted 3-2-1 over concerns about increased density.
