Braxton Lane scored first as Sandy Creek High School soundly whipped previously undefeated Carrollton in a Region 6-AAA game Friday at the Battlefield in Tyrone.

Quarterback Rio Johnson was a powerful tool for the Sandy Creek offense, completing a pass to Matt Solomon to put the Patriots up 14-7 at halftime.

Johnson connected with Braxton Lane for another score in the third quarter.

Later in the third quarter Alex Green rushed for a fourth touchdown to cap the scoring for the Patriots.

Carrollton’s second touchdown in the fourth quarter came too late to make a difference.
