Two recent arrests in Peachtree City resulted in the seizure of a small amount of crack cocaine and five pounds of marijuana. One of the men arrested had been sought by Coweta County law enforcement on multiple warrants. Coweta County resident Rodney Boozer, 26, was arrested outside Wal-Mart Oct. 8, charged with criminal sale of crack cocaine, according to Fayette Drug Task Force (DTF) Capt. Mike Pruitt. The transaction occurred when Boozer arrived at the location with five grams of cocaine to be purchased by undercover agents. Boozer was arrested without incident once the deal was done, Pruitt said. Boozer had been sought by Coweta County authorities, with a total of 13 outstanding warrants, Pruitt. Officers in Coweta had been searching for Boozer but had not been able to locate him. Another drug bust in Peachtree City occurred Oct. 4 at the Amli at Kedron apartments. Richard Dobbs, 32, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after a delivery service dropped off five pounds of marijuana at his residence, Pruitt said. The package was delivered, with Dobbs exiting the apartment a few minutes later. Dodds put a trash bag in the trunk of his vehicle, Pruitt said. DTF agents approached Dobbs, secured the bag containing the marijuana and arrested him, said Pruitt. The marijuana had been mailed from an out of state location, Pruitt said. login to post comments |
