Expect traffic for airshow

Peachtree City will get visitors from all over the metro area and parts beyond this weekend for the Great Georgia Airshow at Falcon Field.

This year the Air Force will have a significant presence at the show both on the ground and in the air as part of its 60th anniversary celebration.

Again this year, spectators will park in parking lots off Ga. Highway 74 and be bused to Falcon Field. The primary parking lots are the Starr’s Mill school campus and Cooper Lighting on Ga. Highway 74 south. Handicapped parking is available at Falcon Field, and golf carts will again be allowed to park on nearby Victor Road at Falcon Field.

This year, overflow parking will be available at the city’s baseball-soccer complex on Hwy. 74 south and also at the New Hope South church campus on Hwy. 74 south.

For security precautions, spectators will not be allowed to bring in coolers, backpacks or pets.

For more information on the airshow, see the article on page B1 and visit www.thegreatgeorgiaairshow.com.

Yes, the bus got you there, but getting you back was an unorganized mess. Having a specific bus stop for each lot might be logical? Unfortunately, taking 1.5 hours to get back to your car is not worth it. Will watch from my porch next year.
