By: Mickey Edwards

My name is Mickey Edwards, a long-time resident and a Georgia native. My wife, Marie and I have been married for nearly forty years. We have two adult sons, both of whom served in the U.S. Armed Forces. I am active in numerous community services efforts, including holding a membership and board of director position with the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club.

I am committed to keeping Fayetteville a great place to raise a family, start a business and enjoy life. With 45 years of small business experience, I have the expertise needed to improve public safety and attract new businesses in Fayetteville.

On the City Council, I would work to enhance Fayetteville's law enforcement capabilities by finding new areas of support for the local police.

Businesses bring increased revenue, which helps keep taxes low for homeowners. Fayetteville now has too many empty retail and office spaces. My business experience gives me the insight needed to bring city and county leaders together to encourage economic investment. I will establish new partnerships, devise senisible solutions and work to bring in new companies to revitalize and revive vacant commercial buildings.

This is my first time running for any public office. If you would like to see change, then I need your help! Vote Mickey Edwards for City Council on November 6th. Let's all get involved and make this city even greater.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Edwards and his family for close to 10 years.

Mr.Edwards is an upstanding, honest, hard working, family and community oriented man. He will bring in a fresh outlook into the city council and will isten to what the opinions and concerns of the community are.

The city council needs someone in there to make changes and restore faith in people and letting them know their community is theirs and they can bring about change for the good.

I do not know Mr. Hovey-King, but only know that he was voted out of the position last time he ran.

Lets give Mr.Edwards a chance to do the job I know, as well as others who know him, know they he can and will do.

So, on Nov.6th, vote Mickey Edwards City Council Post 2

I was invited by my best friend (a resident of Fayetteville) to go with her Saturday to campaign for Mickey Edwards. Every person that we spoke with said that Fayetteville needs new people on the council. Mr. Edwards is new. His opponent Al Hovey-King was on the council for years, was voted out, and now wants to get back in.

Hopefully, next election more people will step up and run against the other council members who have been there for years.

Please get out and vote on November 6th. Vote for Mickey Edwards City Council Post 2.

Thanks Smiling
Tug

Fayetteville is in dire need of new leadership. I believe that Mickey Edwards is a step in the right direction. Mr. Edwards' opponent has served on the Fayetteville City Council in the past. It's time for new faces to lead Fayetteville in a new, more positive direction. I've been a lifelong resident of Fayette County and have lived in the city of Fayetteville for over 15 years. Fayetteville has changed so much over the last few years and not all of it has been positive change. Let's make a positive change for Fayetteville! VOTE FOR MICKEY EDWARDS!!!
