Animal advice please.

What can one do if you can no longer take care of your pets and have had no luck in finding them a new home? I have tried everything but no one seems to want them , even when they're free. Is there any place to take them? What can I do? Please help. Animal control has already said we need to get rid of them and we're DESPERATE!

I got so frustrated with my situation that for a while I completely gave up. But i am trying my best now to give my kittens away. All of them. and german shepards. and a beagle. and a chihuahua. and grown adult cats. don't ask how i got them all. it all came from a decidion i made with the absolute best intetnions at heart for some animals and it all spiraled out of control as worse as it could posibly become. if you know anybody that wants any animals, please please call. there is an ad for the kittens on the classefieds section of this site and in the current citizen.
oh by the way, i did call the fayette humane society and they have been generous enough to give us discounts to neuter/fix our dogs so that they have a better chance of being adopted.

Check with all the no kill humane societies. Make sure they are no kill- some of the humane societies do kill. I would check Fayette, Newnan, etc.

And then bury them. Properly, that is. In Transylvania, we feed them to the lions.

If you have some cats or kittens you need to find new homes for, the local group, Rescue Cats, will take them and foster them out until they are adopted. Their phone #678-817-9647. Tell them you have cats/kittens to "relinquish."

Our family adopted two of their relinquished cats several years ago and they are still great pets! Also, every person in this organization we spoke to or dealt with were super nice. Rescue Cats #1 goal: They want to find felines new homes and will foster them as long as it takes. They want people to know there is an alternative to having the felines euthanized. Please call them tonight so they can start helping you with your situation.

What kind of pets are you referring to? Perhaps if you are specific about them, someone can offer more help.

Call some of the rescue groups around. Georgia Heartland and Fayette Humane society. They rescue pets by keeping them with "foster parents" then they take them to petsmart and other places to be shown.

They are always short of foster homes and money. If you can volunteer to foster them, and if you can offer to bring them to the next foster event. The good thing is these groups do the background research for you. All of their foster homes maybe full. They also have websites to display the pets picture.

In the sunday living section of the ajc. they list many pet rescue groups.

I hope that helps. I wish Fayette county would let us have the same number of pets per household as other counties. It is hard to turn over the animals you find that have been abandoned.

I'll guess you probably have a bumper sticker on your vehicle that says "I love cats, they taste just like chicken."

the pound doesn't let people just "drop off" animals. They are there for strays.
