Tyrone to vote soon..don't be complacent!

Since Gloria and Grace were elected, things have settled down a lot. They have stopped the runaway growth, and tried to stop the hanky panky that has run wild in Tyrone. But guys, they are only two people and have been out voted 2 to 3 on many important issues. They have tried to right many things that were done before they came to office. This election we have a chance to CLEAN HOUSE! Everyone please come out and vote. The old guard has always counted on the fact that you are too busy just working to make a living to vote, to busy to come to town hall. They have taken advantage of that and crawled into office and done just as they pleased. It is time to stop all that once and for all. I'm gonna vote Tracy Young, Gordon Shenkle, and Don Rewald. I hope you will look at the others past tract record and decide the same.

Hey old beach bear, I have an idea. Instead of promoting that people put red ribbons on their mailboxes representing hate as you suggested, I have a better plan. Why not put pink ones for breast cancer spport, or yellow for our kids fighting for our country. It is apparent that you have all kinds of time on your hands since you are on the computer all day. Not to mention the fact that not 1 thing you have EVER written has left me or anyone else feeling good or inspired in any way. You have never been ispirational, genuine or even up-beat in any way. I invite you to spend one day with me at my place of employment. I guarantee it would change your priorities! If you are so lucky to have a flawless life as you indicate then you would really benefit from hanging around with me. If you are interested, contact me back and I will be happy to arrange it.

I think you are strange, that is revolting.

Why do you re-quote every blog? Even the novels you write from days prior. God you are annoying! Anyway, the fact that you missed my point says alot. Don't flatter yourself into thinking anything other than what I intended. You think I am strange? Go back and re-read your e-mails. "Let's all hang red ribbons together. We will be the red ribbon team that show Amos we don't like him...whoopee!" If that isn't strange I don't know what is. I guess since you missed my point, showing you the terrible situations that I HELP with everyday would be meaningless to you. You have no idea. While you spend all day tomorrow sending your hateful blogs all day because you don't work, I will be up to my elbows in counseling abused children. Get your priorities straight! You are revolting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am signing off to spend time with my family. That is a foreign concept to you isn't it blog nazi.

But what about the snakes? Is the library site cleared of snakes? I still want to know about the waterskier dying in the BULLrushes.

Where is the GA Bar Ass. investigation? Where is the AJC? Isn't there an investigative reporter snoooping around about to blow the lid off everything?

Will there be a "Stop the Presses" moment before the election?

Does anyone but 3 or 4 on here care?

If you noticed, things in Tyrone have quieted down. Could this be a conspiracy again? I think that the canceling of the council meeting last week was part of their plan (Barry, Valerie and Smola). They are trying to keep things quiet and allow Smola to try and get his foot out of his mouth for a while, until after the election. Citizens of Tyrone, don't be fooled, come out and VOTE!

yeah, I heard they had to put him out with gas. He may do well to stay asleep until after the debate.

Submitted by TyroneConfidential on Mon, 10/08/2007 - 1:34pm.

Right on tyronesleezeball. From the horse's mouth, Smola is putting the cemetery blame on Barry Amos and trying to distance himself from responsibility. Barry is blaming the developers and the property owner is left hanging. The fact is Barry has once again failed to follow Tyrone Development Regulations. Make no mistake about it, another lawsuit is developing. How much more can Tyrone taxpayers afford to take? Re-elect Smola and you'll get 4 more years of bad government. A responsible Council would ask for a criminal investigation. There's more than meets the eye here.

It is getting smaller even after the destruction being reported to the town! When all this started, I had a look. Months later, there is still no fence around it, nor it seems has it been surveyed off. By not marking it off it's obvious someone hopes the unknowing county people laying water, gas, or whatever cable will do their dirty work and finish off the cemetery. Shame on the town manager and the developer and all the people that had a hand in this. I wonder if you know that the relatives can come forward and sue you each for this. If the town manager and others knowing side stepped the state laws for personal reasons and used their jobs to cover things up, then I hope they can be personaly sued for this as well as the developer.

Talk about trouble...Did anyone catch the slanderous comments Smola made about the Peachtree City resident a few weeks ago only to back peddle with his comments in the following issue. Can you smell a lawsuit? Hope Tyrone can handle that one.

I don't remember all of the details but during a council meeting he accused this man of being a thief. Then in the next issue he tried to recant his statement and change what he had said. It was in the Fayette Daily News. This one could cost Tyrone millions!

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Mon, 10/08/2007 - 9:13pm.

yeah, I remember, the Peachtree city guy. I think that was a jab at making himself look good before elections. Anyway, if he had paid half that attention to Tyrone's guy, he may not have let him tiptoe through the Watson graveyard with a dozier!

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Mon, 10/08/2007 - 7:50pm.

That is ..NOT..the case! THE STATE LAWS ARE VERY CLEAR ON CEMETERIES...the town can't do LESS legaly than to obey, this is not their own little private fieftom, the only thing they can do is make the laws more stringent than the state's. They can make them tuffer, but they can't say cause we don't have any laws, you can dig up Aunt Bessie just for giggles! Maybe someone needs to explain that.

Is that a Boston/NY way of making funn of the way we say "should"?
The problem is ...NOT... how we speak... BUT VALUES... both ours and yours....we don't take a job, just to fill holes in our personality...we DON'T ...get our packets 30 mins before a meeting...we DON'T look down our spectacles at the locals like they are scum...they are people we have compasion for. I think your ancestors were the ones that came to Boston in the big buckled shoes, Bible in hand, righoustley had witch hunts, wore tight starched pants on long scrawney legs causing a perpetucal case of jokey itch that may have precluded your vison of what is going on around you. If not...I think you should go home...before we have a witch hunt ourselves!

The select few are running our Town Government into the ground. When your Taxes go up to cover legal costs, you won't YAWN anymore, your eyes will open wide, and hopefully your closed mind. Its a shame that you don't care if businesses and property owners lose money and their employees lose their jobs. You know, some people depend on their income to support their children.

Wouldn't suprise me if the two were one in the same, Fowler and Amos. Sounds just like them. They could care less what happens to the citizens and businesses. You can't expect them to sympathize when they have no hearts.

Like I said "ssdd". I know= "Barry and Valerie are responsible for the watering ban." News at 6. There is a lot of blame thrown about!!!

"There is so many comments????..........." The correct grammar of your sentence is - There ARE so many comments...... Maybe lack of college education is the cause of your butchered grammar!!

And by the the way, it is not "so few people" because there are about 400 names on a petition to remove Barry and Valerie from their jobs. It will be submitted to the new town mayor for review and action after the election. 400 people is not just a few. Furthermore, the Shelley lawsuit is not the only game in town. Many of us are dissatisfied for a variety of reasons and there are plenty of them and they all relate back to Barry, Valerie, Smola & Lee!!

Submitted by jondough on Tue, 10/09/2007 - 12:57pm.

We are going to SSDD until you are gone from your job. Keep that in mind as you write on this blog and conduct yourself in the most atrocious and egregious manner that I have ever seen any local town government behave. WE all know that anyone who says anything in defense of Barry, Valerie, or Smola is either Barry, Valerie, Smola, or maybe even Sears. No worries though, you all are going to get yours in the end......when you lose control of the town!!

There is a lot of blame thrown around because there are a lot of problems that investigations show stem right back to Barry, Valerie and Smola. I don't know how you all look yourselves in the mirror or sleep at night knowing all the trouble you have caused the taxpayers of Tyrone, who by the way, pay your SALARY - which will soon be ending anyway!! Get those resumes ready and start circling the help wanted ads. I hear Helga's House of Pain Infliction is hiring - perfect for Barry and Valerie, and maybe Ginger. Dumb butts corporation is hiring for you Smola. Ooops, I think these jobs require some college education - sorry Valerie. Maybe Chick fil A is hiring.

First, I did not go to college so you can blame Fayette County High School for my grammer. Although I did not go to college I have a VERY good career(it is not just a job). I can pay all of my bills and afford an occasional slushy at Sonics.8) Secondly, the citizens of Tyrone nor you pay for my salary.I work on the north side of Atlanta. Third, I am still waiting to read one of those fine articles in the AJC about the corruption in the town of Tyrone.
Yuppers, I am a voting citzen of this town. (Does that just piss you off or what)I am not sure who I am voting for at this point. I will be at the Legacy to listen to what is said by all of the candidates. Will I see you there?
If you actually succeed in getting rid of the Barry and Valerie I wonder who you people will cast blame on when something else happens.
P.S. I love pulling your chain because it is fun to see all the heated resposes. My job here is done.

Liar, Liar, Smartypants on fire!!

If you don't know who to vote for yet, then please, give us a break and exercise your right not to vote. Anyone who does not know at this stage in the game who is who and what is what....well, you are just too dumb to be allowed to vote! Please stay home on voting day!

Your enjoyment of other's losses and suffering is sadism. Makes you look a lot like Barry or Valerie, especially Valerie, who can cook up a real vindictive spell.

Jondough- WTH? Let me see if this helps you because I am far from dumb. (I may not spell well or have proper grammer- dang government education!) Where are the candidates?? First, I do not hang out at the town hall. I went to the first day of Founder's Day but did not stay because the pet costume contest was canceled. I am sorry that I am not sure where my vote is going. Gimme a break because I am sure that there are more people that live in this town that are in the same position. Sheesh!!I do read the newspapers. The only piece of information regarding the candidates was a taped note on my mail box. That is one candidate out of how many??? No one has been in my neighborhood and introduces themselves. No one has mailed a darn thing about where they stand. There are signs up with people's names but it does not tell me what they want for this town. I am not Valerie, and I do not work in the city. My day consist of getting up at 4:30 AM driving 45 miles to work, doing my job, driving 45 miles home and arriving on my door step at 6:00 PM. The candidates have not done a great job of getting out and meeting the people other than attending town council meetings. I have been to the last several council meetings to find out what is going on where I live. Not one of those candidates introduces themselves. So I am sorry you are not thrilled about what I have had to say Mr. McNasty but atleast I will be attending a forum to listen to the candidates since they have not gotten out to shake hands and kiss babies.
