Can we stand?

One more year of a horrid war; one more year of intolerable spending; one more year of bridges and dams falling down; one more year of poisoned Chinese products; one more year of millions of pounds of food processed here being full of e-coli; one more year of torturing our prisoners and denying it; and one more year of allowing mercenaries in Iraq to kill and plunder without accountability?
Are we happy to live with $5 gas (soon); are we happy with a totally broken health system; are we happy with corporate corruption; are we happy with political corruption; are we happy with hypocrites everywhere; Are we happy with the crooked banks that we bail out; are we happy with a disintegrated military organizational structure and leaders who are politicians in the military?

By the way libertarians shouldn't insult the name you have taken concerning liberty! True liberty means we protect each other and our ways by combining and agreeing upon the best way to do that----not fight amongst yourself as to just what can one do that effects others, where no law exists! They are moochers off the true system.

Also, we don't want to feel alone when we fight something. Start up a parade or a meeting and we will all go.
However, I do think polarization of politics is the real culprit--started by religion into politics, taking one side in wars, resenting the lesser of us getting anything we think we paid for, and stupid talk radio. Newspapers are about 65% one-sided also, but who reads them?

What used to be a good economy is no longer. High production rates where factories are at 90+ of capacity, low personal debt, personal savings up, infrastructure (Interstate Highways, etc.) being built and repaired, low interest rates, local banks being local, education inexpensive, small business thriving.
What the administration now is calling a good economy is at best temporary.
About 25% of our citizens do consider this a good economy. They can borrow all they want, they can afford to buy most anything they want, they are well paid, they have a new home and a Honda, and they support the President and Newt Gingrich. They have health insurance. They save nothing.
About 75% do not consider it a good economy. They make half or less than the 25% do. They drive the trade-ins, they also borrow all they want, they have little or no health insurance, and if they do, they still have to pay half the bills. They save nothing. Their kids can go to college if they want to owe $100,000 when they graduate.
It is a false, debt-economy.
It will fail.

Game 1 bicycle road hogger

Georgia Tech watered their football field after the water ban. They got caught.
They said from the athletic director's office: we didn't get informed about the ban!
Now the game is: Are they thick headed, or are they lying?
(UGA also watered their precious field but claimed it was from a "pond." A lake I think! Who are these people? The same ones who graduate 45-50% of their basketball and football players? Maybe the "tailgaters" have too much influence on higher education by their pressure of making the department and its coaches rich?) No game yet on the UGA one!
