The last time FCHS football was 5 - 0 for the first 5 games: 1980 - they went to Regionals that year and won their first 9 games of that season, so this year's Tigers have a record to shoot for and break!

indeed went to the regionals that year and lost to Griffin at Griffin, but it was a close game as I recall, something like 13 to 3?

Is there anywhere you know of where we can find old records for local teams like that - the site we go to only goes back six years or so - and I was 5 in 1980.

I used to find that info.

why are there announcements made during the game about Ch 11? I'm beginning to think there are bias in reporting. It seems like the last few weeks that most of the games highlighted are on the north-side. I guess its just me. I'm so happy for the team!!! I keep thinking playoffs.

Well, if you're biased, then so am I. It does seem like only the teams on the north-side get TV coverage. I think they forget people really live south of I-20 & 285.

I guess the Tigers will have to make the playoffs, then the TV stations will have to venture down here.
