The Starr’s Mill Lady Panthers volleyball team and the Sandy Creek Lady Patriots played in the Lovett Block Party over the weekend The Lady Panthers (28-2) tied for third in the Gold Bracket. “It was an extremely competitive tournament,” said Dottie Licciardi. “I was glad to compete against three great out-of-state teams.” McIntosh (20-4) went 6-1 over the weekend, defeating North Gwinett (25-20, 25-15), Grayson (25-10, 26-24), Monroe Area (25-13, 25-9), North Forsyth (25-12, 25-18), Roswell (25-13, 25-18) and Blessed Trinity (18-25, 25-19, 15-25, 25-22, 15-12). Landmark Christian went 3-2 over the weekend, losing to St. Pauls, Ala. (25-20, 25-9) and Wesleyan (25-10, 25-9) and defeating Norcross (25-18, 23-25, 14-16), Athens Academy (25-10, 25-14), and Columbus (25-27, 25-17, 13-15). Landmark (10-11) will host Sandy Creek and Fayette County tomorrow. Games start at 5 p.m. The Lady Chiefs and Whitewater met last night and McIntosh will take on Starr’s Mill next Tuesday at Starr’s Mill at 5 p.m. login to post comments |
