Tigers improve to 2-0 with 21-0 win over JonesboroFri, 09/07/2007 - 9:40pm

The Fayette County Tigers (2-0) started their game against the Jonesboro Cardinals with an 80 yard drive caped off with a one yard touchdown run by Matt Daniels. Daniels would score two more touchdowns, raising his season total to five so far. Daniels rushed for 159 yards, while Tim Pettaway added 83 yards. Marquis Dixon recovered a fumble late in the second quarter for the Tigers and Shemar Fletcher had an interception early in the third quarter as the defense held Jonesboro to only three first downs on the evening. The Tigers only allowed 90 yards of total offense on the night and were led by Evan Reid, Devontae Partridge and Travis Mihalik with six total tackles each. Fayette County hosts Whitewater (1-1) next Friday. login to post comments |
