The real story

I couldn't agree more with the last posting. The 2 City Council people were belligerent, stubborn, and generally obstructionists. The facts are that the developer has a permitted use and legal right to build a dept store, or big box as self-important Cyndi Plunkett refers to it. There is no way to stop someone from building a commercial project here;it needs no rezoning at all. So why not work with the guy rather than fight him? This is the same developer after all who built The Avenues. Have you ever shopped at The Avenues Cyndi? Or do you make all your outfits? Cyndi and her sidekick, Stuart "Clueless" Kourajian refused to provide the developer and his architect with any meaningful feedback when asked what they didn't like about the project. The only response was "I don't like big box" and "we need to plan another meeting". Stuart also had a moment of brilliance when he asked out loud "what were we talking about again?" Its time to {{{{{{EDITED}}}}} or get off the pot people and the developer isn't threatening he's giving PTC advance warning. Either take a beautifully designed Kohls as he's laid it out, or take your chances with the next business that will come in right after him. These 2 knuckleheads cost PTC nearly $500K in legal fees over the Walmart/Home Depot that came in, and again had no legal right to deny these retailers. How much do you want to bet these 2 hypocrites shop at both of these stores on a regular basis? My fellow citizens, these 2 City Council people are not hero's for standing up to the developer, but rather 2 idiots who are going to require us to pay more in taxes as a result of the lawsuit that will result from this, or the lawsuit that the next developer will file against PTC & Dumb and Dumber. (I cant quite figure out who is Dumb and Dumber, Cyndi or Stuart.) It's about making concessions and minimizing the impact. These 2 fools angered me so much because they refused to listen to logic and instead had their mind made up from the minute the meeting started. I'm going to request that these meetings be televised to demonstrate the ineptitude that we have representing PTC.

No, SkySpy I am not a local developer; I'm an independent businessman whose place of business you've more than likely frequented. Have you ever been to a Kohl's Dept Store? Obviously not; it is nothing like a Walmart or even a Home Depot. To imply that past drug dealing/sex stings at Wallyworld and HD is likely to happen with a Kohls as a tenant is short sighted and illogical. Did you see the landscape plan and layout of the proposed development? Its first class and something I guarantee you would be proud to see on this site. And by the way Stuart, you're not fooling anyone with your phony nickname of SkySpy.

Unless you manage a Publix, Pike nursery, or Andy's nursery, or Yard Time, I'm not giving you my money. I spend most of my money in Buckhead.

If you own Twist, Blue Point, Fox Sports Grill, Emerils, the Tavern, Frontgate, or Trader Joes, or Whole Foods, or the RockBottom Brewery, then I am giving you my money.

Most people were willing to pay more for their homes here because they were told this was an upscale community. You are right I have not been in a kohls. They use the parking lot in Fayette for drug stings, (of course they use all of fayette pavillion for that) I doubt it will be any different here. I also doubt they will make much money.

Sorry to disappoint but I'm not stuart. I have been extremely critical of him and all of our councilFOOLS in the past.

Your trash developer might be able to bully our councilFOOLS but most of us see through his idle threat. We have dealt with junk yard bullies before.

A Hooters is exactly what PTC needs. We need a good neighborhood sports bar. I'm surprised harold is not for this. If even half of the stories coming out of his neighborhood are true, Hooters will be in the black just from his bar tab alone. They don't even need the rest of the city.

How did Plunkett and Stuart cost the City "500K in legal fees" over Wal-Mart and Home Depot when both were built a few years before either were elected? Are you talking about Target at Kedron?

Target was snaked, bullied in under the "but-lenox-promised-us-plan" Steve tried to stop it, but they had been promised they could break city code/ordinance.

That was way before the current council.

it was built after Home Depot and Wal-Mart so it's a lot closer to the present council than the RAM issue. That's why I am wondering how Stuart Unspellable and Sorta-Hot lawyer could have caused 500K in legal bills fighting a development?

I think yokel is a developer trying to get us mad at the current council. Like we don't have enough issues already. Let's start with the tennis center "deal".........
