Golf Cart Robbery - Profile

The man described as the suspect is actually a pretty good description of my husband. We live in Wynnmeade. He's 6'2. He's in his 30s. Oh yeah, and he's African-American (notice the hyphenated term). I guess the only discrepancy is that he doesn't wear baggy clothes.

The description is very very general.

will probably be the last for a while. In a city that's 80 or so percent white, this description is quite useful, in my humble opinion.

Every now and then bad elements come into a community. They only stay when the community ignores the problem. Case in point: A few weeks ago someone hung sneakers on an electrical line on my street. I'm sure I wasn't the only person who saw it. I did call the police and the sneakers were removed the next day. Ignoring the sneakers would have sent the message "hey it's okay for gang activity to go on around here."

As a former HOA board member, I can tell you that once criminals understand they are not welcome, they will move on to easier targets.

Quite a sense of humor you have, or at least you think that you have.

If the skin color had been white, then A LOT more women's husbands might qualify as meeting the physical description of the perpetrator. But, then most male residents of PTC & Fayette Co. (black, white, brown, whatever) are decent, hard-working men who'd NEVER think of pointing a gun at anyone who's not a criminal and would NEVER take one cent that doesn't belong to them.

If your "man" was out and about at that time and isn't decent and hard-working and has unexplained "income," then turn him in after searching for hidden baggy clothes and a white ball cap. You might even make a little money on the deal -- money that you can use for counseling to figure why you picked such a loser. Puzzled

It'd never cross my mind that the black men that I know would do such a thing, and I doubt that anyone else would wonder about them either. So, what is it about your husband that makes you so suspicious? He didn't rob the bank, too, did he? Shocked

If you think he did it, then by all means, turn him in to the authorities. LOL

If I turn him in I would have to go back to work! NEVER!!!
I do have my standards. If I were going to marry a thief, he'd have to be a congressman. Smiling

and don't worry, you ain't going back to work. You & your hubby will probably be making lots of dough by making a movie of his criminal act. Also, while he's in jail, he'll find God.

For goodness sake, don't let him go on a diet. Then his clothes would be baggy.

Most of the time he's vegged out in front of his new 60" HDTV. He works from home (techie stuff). When he's not working I have to compete with SG-1 and Simpson reruns. I don't think I have to worry about him dieting. Eye-wink
