Tyrone’s list of qualifiers includes Don Rehwaldt for mayor, former town planning commissioner Ken Matthews for Post 1, along with consultant Eric Dial and current planning commissioner Jesse Nasianceno for Post 2. Those announcing their candidacy but not qualifying by press time include current Councilman Mike Smola — who is running for mayor — technology services manager Tracy Young for Post 1 and computer security specialist Gordon Shenkle for Post 2. Business owner Dar Thompson is the sole qualifier for Post 2, with Councilman Stuart Kourajian having announced that he will not be seeking re-election.
