We went through Beaufort on our way out the other week, it is a nice town.

Now do tell about the alligator, if it's anything like your story of your silk drawers, the thunderstorm, and the pump problems, I'll be laughing for days!

I had a great time in the "Low Country" of South Carolina. Beaufort is a wonderful city with a huge and wonderful military presence. The history of the region is so interesting and so very much alive today. Riding out in the middle of the salt marshes on my Water Harley is as rich an experience as the marine life I encountered daily. I guess the hi-lite of my trip was my hour of messing with an alligator in the middle of the night.

Hmmmm... After all these years I've yet to find the treasure supposedly buried on Fripp Island by Blackbeard himself. Sad

But thanks for asking. It's a great place to restore one's mental health. Smiling
