Chance to help Giuliani presidential bid

State Sen. Ronnie Chance of Tyrone has been named the Georgia co-chair of the Rudy Giuliani presidential campaign.

Chance will work with House Speaker Glenn Richardson, the other co-chair, to help build the campaign’s statewide organization.

“I’m honored to help lead Mayor Giuliani’s campaign in Georgia and will work tirelessly to strengthen our growing statewide grassroots organization. I am confident Georgians are looking for a strong leader like Rudy Giuliani who has a proven track record of getting real results,” Senator Chance said.

Chance was the state executive director of the Bob Dole presidential campaign in 1996, and he also served as state director for Congressman Mac Collins.

“Senator Chance’s support and leadership will be very important to furthering our success in Georgia, spreading the Mayor’s optimistic vision for the future, and growing our team in the state,” Michael DuHaime, Giuliani Campaign Manager, said.

This certainly illustrates how little our local Republican leaders care about the socially conservative views of their constituents. What did that character in the front-page story about the local GOP say last week--something about needing to appeal to the north, the south, the east, the west? If they don't think harder about appealing to the people of this community who put them into office, some savvy Democrat (oxymoron?) is going to come along and put them out on the streets.

A Democrat with socially conservative views? That individual would certainly have to be savvy. To be honest, I haven't seen one since Zell Miller--You know the one who introduced Mr Bush at the 2004 Republican Convention.

I wonder if Zell feels the same way about this support as Lee Iaccoca...nay, Lee caught on about 4 years sooner.

I am waiting for the Celebrity Death Match between Rudi & Fred's wives..

Wow
Between his pro-gay, anti-Second Amendment, anti-life postions, what's for a social conservative not to like?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

How can any Republican, much less one from the Deep South, support a candidate for President who is pro-abortion and anti-guns? Next thing you know, you'll hear that Judy Giuliani thinks NASCAR is uncouth.

Ronnie, you are falling in to the same trap as so many other Republicans--- stand for absolutely nothing and simply try to calculate a win. If you read your history, you will see that Giuliani cannot win the nomination and has even less chance in the general election.

With so many Republicans showing such an absence of committment the results will be predictable--- the base will not turn out. And probably the biggest political Tsunami will be immigration.

He is running for puiblicity for his fancy firm! He makes a fortune there as a "rainmaker" and this is his way for free publicity, financed by suckers. If an accident happened and he were elected, his firm would also grow enormously while he served! Can't lose.
The guy is a loser.

Giuliani thinks NASCAR is just swell! He went to his first race just the other day. His staff gave him the “Women’s Guide to NASCAR” before he went.

No Kidding:

Giuliani consults women’s guide on NASCAR

Fortunately for him, you can fool most of the people most of the time.

Wastemoron did the same thing as Rudy-- tried to talk himself as a NASCAR fan, until he embarrassd himself in that 2006 SportSouth interview in which he sounded like he was talking about Beach Volleyball. Lynn figured that by taking the liquor lobbyists money and tickets, surely that made him a fan.

Rudy and Judy did the same damn thing. Before the campaign they probably thought that Loudon was a type of cheese. He gets tix and walks right in when the average Joe has to buy Busch tix in NH for three years just to get on the wait list for the Sunday race.

And you people think Rudy and Lynn are genuine conservatives ?

Hey, Git--- who is the biggest phony--- Rudy, Lynn or Scooter Ballard?

That's an unfair question to ask me Voice. You know that whichever way I answer I will be both right and wrong. BTW... You left out Ronnie Chance and the rest of the Fayette County GOP Phony Hacks. Eye-wink

Giuliani said his advisors had also suggested NASCAR for Dummies but he had not read that yet.

Maybe he should read Conservatism for Dummies.

I'm glad to be on your side, especially if you're making the D.A. uncomfortable! Laughing out loud

Hopefully, some judges will get anxious, too.

Dollar doesn't like my picture. (What does he like?) Thought I'd try being a blond for a while and what do I get? River's suggestion that I want to play with $. Shocked Blonds may be dumb but not that dumb! Laughing out loud

$ suggested that Tug, Jane, & I vacation in Aruba. Guess he's hoping that we'll disappear like Natalie Holloway did. I don't think that he likes women very much. Puzzled

$ needs all of us to remind him to take his medicine and to keep him inside typing instead of being on the streets. He might hurt himself, or he might run into Hutch! Laughing out loud

Git, do you think that using Ebonics will win more votes? Or are you trying to find common ground with the criminals that you plan to prosecute? Laughing out loud
