Things are definitely looking up for former Peachtree City resident Reed Sorenson. The young driver became the youngest pole winner in the history of Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday and then turned the top starting position into a fifth place finish in the Brickyard 400 on Sunday.

The great weekend comes on the heels of a Busch Series win last weekend.

“To get your first pole anywhere is pretty special, but to win it at the Brickyard is extra special,” said Sorenson.

Sorenson’s pole position start marked the fourth time this season he started a race in the top 10. It was his best start of the season and his NASCAR career. The fifth place finish was his third finish in the top 10 this season. His best finish came at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on May 27 where he finished in fourth place.

Sorenson, a member of Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, will race with his team at Pocono Raceway this weekend and hopes to continue his current hot streak.

It sounds like it's about time for a "Reed Sorenson" day in PTC
