Beware of out-of-season deer hunter on Ebenezer Ch. Rd.Tue, 07/24/2007 - 3:52pm
By: Letters to the ...
I am writing you about a problem that I have tried to solve since July of last year. I have called the marshal’s office, the state, and Saturday night I called the Sheriff’s office. The problem has never been solved, so now I am calling on the public to hear my cry and be warned. We have a man out here on Ebenezer Church Road who has a total disregard for the gun laws, and hunting laws of the state and county. This man hunts deer at ll o’clock at night and shoots with a high-powered rifle from five acres of land. He killed a deer 25 feet from Ebenezer Church Road. He continues to shoot this gun at night. You must understand, as most hunters know, it is not deer season. Yes, we have a problem out here with deer, but the killing of an innocent person driving down the road is not the answer. If you drive down Ebenezer Church Road at night on Friday or Saturday or Sunday, you are hereby notified that you have an idiot that hunts out of season, who hunts on a postage stamp lot with a high-powered rifle, and someone is going to be killed in their home by a shot that missed a deer, or you are going to be killed in your car driving down the road. Yes, I have called the authorities, and the problem still exists. So maybe the outcry from the public will help solve this problem. Name withheld by request login to post comments |
