I live in Southampton and I have to say that I question my decision to move there everyday. I moved in and quickly noticed that the level of thugs was remarkable for such a "pricey" neighborhood. I can see why Wieland is giving bullet proof vests. I would like to say that since the subprime mess has hit it is starting to change for the better. This is helping me hold on. There are still several houses with subprime loans waiting to be delt with so for those of you in the stock market it is not over yet. $500,000 homes for $950 per month, what could go wrong? I am hoping that this will help the whole county but I'm not sure.

The vestes totalled $1300 and they get almost half the front page. That is ridiculus. If they keep their very lax lending standards then they will need to donate several armored vehicles. To Tyrone's finest I hope it is getting better and we do appreciate you in Southampton.

Was it Wieland himself that donated the money/vests, or the neighborhood association? The article is not clear at all.

Wow...now how much has he made off Tryone, putting in his subdivsions the people didn't want? Can he spare the money? I'm so impressed! not!

Does this mean that the Tyrone police had no bullet-proof vests before Wieland's donation?
