Over the week of June 19th through June 24th, 2007, Julie Wolf, the Healthcare Science teacher from Whitewater High School, took fifteen students to participate in the Healthcare Occupation Students of America (HOSA) National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.

These select group of students represented Whitewater High School and Georgia against the top three competitors from other states. Each of the students competed fiercely and a group of four students, Lydia Stevens, Kyle Friez, Luke Wilkinson, and Aaron Grech, placed top ten in the nation in the Health Education category.

Everyone did an amazing job and represented Whitewater High School to the fullest. This opportunity was sponsored by many businesses in Fayette County and the students would like to thank all of them for helping them to compete in a once-in-a-lifetime event: Midas Auto Shop, Georgia Power, Affordable Signs and Awards, Blake Orthodontics, City Café, Gym South, The Law Office of Lee Mason, Mike and C’s Family Sports Grille, Wachovia, Prudential Georgia Realty, Mail Boxes Etc., and Partner’s II Pizza. Congratulations to all of the competitors and Julie Wolf for organizing this event at Whitewater High School.
