Mounting public concerns expressed at Union City council meetings during the past few months came to a head Tuesday night as residents called for Mayor Ralph Moore and Councilwoman Angelette Mealing to resign their elected positions. Residents also announced that a recall movement for removal of the two had begun.

Retina Dawson-Young and Anika Madden said the mayor and councilwoman had participated in numerous activities that warranted their removal from office.

Mealing left the council chambers early in the meeting. Moore offered no comment except to say that residents were exercising their rights in voicing their opinions and engaging in the recall process.

Other residents at the meeting voiced a litany of often-expressed concerns over city management and services.

Why is ANYONE SURPRISED? This has been ALONG time coming, but it is finally here. It is time for both of them to go and tear apart another part of this world! Yea Right!...

Moore states that Union City is "The Progressive City", but what has he done but allow another landfill be built in our untainted naturally beautiful area...What has he done? Not worked in the best interest of the citizens of Union City. It is not about GOING GREEN for MOORE, nor STAYING CLEAN, just about HIS "GREEN", dollars, if you didn't get it, is what I mean...

Oh, let us not forget the CHILDREN THAT HAVE NO PARKS AND RECREATION IN THE "PROGRESSIVE CITY"...

MOORE and Mealing need to go...
No MORE MOORE nor Mealings
No MORE LIES
NO MORE!!!
Peace to ALL
